October 3rd - Exit Slip

I was very intrigued this class by the act of braiding. Listening to the video on braiding and it's relationship to algebraic ideas such as Groups blew my mind to the intricacy of ancient technologies like rope making. This inspires me to dive into similar techniques and technologies an explore their mathematical concepts in hopes of being able to incorporate them in my classroom.

In fact, I don't even think it is necessary to explore the mathematics but it is important to explore how to use our bodies in the classroom and outdoor classes.The feeling of enjoyment I had this class while braiding and making rope is something I hope to reinact in my classroom.
